Nicky MacKenzie

Originally from Salt Spring Island, 20 year old Nicky MacKenzie has a soulful energy in her music that always manages to extract emotion from beneath the surface. Her lifelong passion for singing and writing led her to the city of Vancouver to perform, collaborate, and attend school for audio engineering and artist development. 

She was recently chosen as one of the 5 winners of the Canadian Songwriting Challenge, was a contestant on CTV’s first season of The Launch, and is currently working on her debut full length album due in 2023. Following in the stylistic footsteps of influences including Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, and Joss Stone, her soothing jazzy vocals combined with poppy melodies always leaves the ear wanting more.
